Natalie has also participated in many extracurricular activities during her four years at Prairie, “I have played on the varsity soccer and track team and I currently play on the varsity basketball team.” Natalie shares. Although she has “chosen” to focus on art more this year. She is currently the first chair flutist for the top ensemble in the Prairie band and is President of the National Art Honor Society.
Outside of school, Natalie can be found hanging out with her friends, playing video games such as The Last Of Us, or listening to music. “I’ve always been a very musical person, I almost always have earbuds in; listening to all genres of music,” Natalie says. Her favorite song right now is No Complaints by Noah Kahan, “although it changes a lot.”
She plans to go into journalism as a profession after attending college. She is most passionate about topics regarding politics and suicide awareness, “I hope that one day my writings can reach people who need to hear these things, as journalism is a crucial part of society.” Journalism is giving people “access to the truth.”
