Boys Golf is under a new, and younger coach as they move forward with high hopes for this season.

This year the boys’ Golf Coach Tanner Maahs is said to be bringing a new environment to the team. Giving the players a different culture to learn from and become a part of. “He makes practice and matches enjoyable and fun!” Senior Camden Hern shares.

This season has changed in players too, “our top 4 guys last year were seniors” Hern says. Regardless of this change in personnel, the season is “going good so far” and the progression of the players and the team is going “very well.”

Senior Camden Hern enjoys being a part of the Prairies golf team and like many of the other players his hopes for the season are “to go to state and do well in the league play.” This season is a season of rebuilding with new faces, and the Falcons are prepared to secure their titles this season!

About the Contributor
Natalie Coughran, Co-Editor
My name is Natalie Coughran, I’m a junior at Prairie and co-editor for The Falcon Flyer. In my three years here I've been a part of Prairie’s varsity soccer, basketball, and track teams. I’m also a part of the PHS band program as a flutist. I’m 17 and enjoy political conversations and advocating for women’s rights and the lgbtq+ community. Outside of school I play video games, attend concerts, and travel. In the future I plan to intern with a local newspaper, then attend college and get a bachelor's degree in journalism or political science and a minor in women and gender studies. I hope to become a travel journalist which would allow me to travel and see the world while writing and using my platform to raise awareness.
