Ajla Tanjo is a Junior at Prairie and a Staff Writer for the Falcon Flyer. Ajla is known for giving good advice with her favorite advice to give is, “Do not think you are a failure after one mistake.” Ajla says that her mom is the one that is always giving her such good advice to spread to others. She also explains how her mother has had the biggest impact on her personality and outlook in life. Something small that leaves a big impact on Ajla is when she receives notes from her friends and loved ones. She describes her as a friend as talkative, kind, and outgoing.
Ajla began her education at York Elementary, where her favorite memory was having all her classes with her best friend, Ellie. Later, she attended Laurin Middle School, which she describes as “eye-opening,special, and full of drama,” with eighth-grade graduation standing out as her most memorable moment. Now, at Prairie High School, Ajla enjoys being involved in volleyball. Her biggest accomplishment so far would be being able to maintain such good grades on top of sports and friendships. Ajla’s favorite high school memory is junior year of homecoming. After graduation, she hopes to attend a college and get her degree to become either a nurse or an ultrasound technician.
Outside of school, Ajla enjoys organizing when she’s bored and spending time with her friends. If Ajla had superpowers, she would want the ability to teleport so she could go to any place anytime. When asked if she would rather travel to the past or future, Ajla says, “I would want to travel to the future just to see how the world had evolved and changed.” In the future, on her bucket list is to expand her food palate by trying exotic foods. One specifically she wants to try is octopus. Overall, Ajla’s life is very eventful and even describes it as the movie jumanji with how busy her life can get. Ajla continues to shine a positive outlook and personality at Prairie High School.
