Prairie boys basketball, win away at Kelso High School, on Friday, January 30th.
Restoring their winning streak, after a tough league loss against the Mountain View Thunder on January 23th, the Falcons gained it back versus Evergreen on Tuesday, January 27th, with a score of 75-61. Leading them into the second half of league play.
The Falcons beat league rivals, Kelso High School, 68-41 Friday night. Junior Malachi Patton, number 4, and senior Carson Morningstar, number 20, lead the team with points. Patton had 17 and Morningstar had a team high of 28.
To get ready for Kelso the second time, Junior, Malachi Patton, (4) says how the team prepared, “The team likes to listen to music to get hyped up before the game.” Other than the team, Patton shares how he deals with pressure. “I make sure to stay confident, stay doing what I know I can do and just play our game.”
With high goals for the rest of the season, team chemistry matters most. Senior, Carson Morningstar, (20) says, “Our chemistry is A+, we’ve known each other for a while and last year we were great teammates and this year we really love everybody on our team and are looking forward to the dome.”
The next games on the schedule for the Falcons are away at WF West, on Wednesday February 4th at 7 PM, and at home on Friday the 6th, versus Heritage, also at 7.
The girls team also plays Heritage on Friday, away.
