Prairie high school hosted 24 boys between C team and JV football. With not only Prairie football highly accountable captains that took on the leadership role consist of Cameron Pedler, Hayden Dore, Cohen Wardell, Tucker Lumby. After much hard work dedication, perseverance and skilled performance Jr varsity stats ends the season going (W3-L5) And C team going (W2-L6). The teams are known for the brotherhood and chemistry the team had. Freshman Captain Tucker Lumby on Jv/C says ‘’The more chemistry and trust we had the more we could rely on each other to do jobs on and off the field.’’ With football being a very team coordinated sport it takes a brotherhood and skill to defend the field of the falcon.
Although C team mostly encountered freshmen, many showed amazing teamwork and growth from start to finish throughout the season. Freshman Captain Tucker Lumby says, ‘’Cohen Wardell showed much perseverance thought the season and fought though challenges and excelled the team to success so thats why i’d say it was one of many star player.’’ The most fulfilling and enriching game for prairie C team was the game Vs Mt view. With C team not letting up any points and Freshman Captain Cohen Wardell’s fumble recovery into a touchdown, advancing the Prairie putting them in a high lead. This game was filled with determination and integrity. Jv football season showed much Integrity and persistence many would say a highlight of the season was a game against Washougal high school. With a resulting score blowing Washougal out of the water 36-16.
Freshman Quinn Danner further explained he thinks Jacob Herrera showed what it’s like to be a true player not only in this game but anywhere on the field. Herrera had a whopping 4 touchdowns which is 66% of the points for this game. JV/C safety Quinn Danner says ‘’Jacob Herrera ran and fought through challenges really well’’ overall JV showed much improvement and growth and well represented prairies athletics .
