Every game requires players to build the energy to play well together as a team. Like, first year on varsity Lejla Tanjo, she claims that one of her favorite parts of the season is blasting music and singing with her friends before every game. She explains the importance of entering the game with a good mindset and motivation.  To prepare for this game specifically, the Prairie Volleyball team did their pregame ritual which consists of listening to the same playlist before every game, as well as all getting ready together. 

Motivation had a huge role during this game, because they knew that since it was a more competitive team, and as Avery Eterno says “they are a cocky team”. Even though they were put under more pressure to win against their league rivals, knowing that they had each other’s back made them feel more at ease. Lejla Tanjo states “we focused on our team’s communication to play better”. 

After the Falcons took another win the players explained that it was important for their confidence boost and make them feel more prepared for the games after that. Along with this it provides a sense of consistency to set the tone for the season. Senior captain Avery Eterno explains, “we showed up every game to win.”
