The teacher of this week is Kelsie Kendrick because she is kind, understanding. And thoughtful. She has a lot of mercy on students even when they are difficult. She always has a smile on her face and a very warm kindergarten teacher feeling.

Kendrick is a very soft spoken person who keeps a calm quiet space for her students. She is lenient and compromises a lot with students to make it comfortable for everyone. Student Olivia says, “ The whole classroom’s energy is of a little kindergarten science class and I love it. It feels warm and nostalgic, her classroom gives bubbly bright vibes just like her. She’s outgoing and always positive.” She is a thoughtful teacher who puts her own energy in to make people in their safe zone all the time.

Everybody is excited when they hear about food and immediately signs up for the class not knowing it’s not about making food but knowing why food has different reactions to ingredients. However, knowing that Mrs. Kendrick still incorporates fun labs for the students to still have a food making experience educationally. Her lessons are fun and interesting because of that, they are easier to do. The lab experiences are unique and interesting to see everyday food having reactions.

Mrs. Kendrick cares a lot about her students and tries to give leniency to everybody creating deeper understanding between the both. Around school Mrs. Kendrick is known as a sweet-heart and she truly is. Don’t think just because she is one that she won’t call you out if you act inappropriately at school. She is the definition of a really good teacher, always explaining, making things easier, getting things in really fast, and making learning more interesting.  To support this Olivia comments,” Mrs. Kendrick is genuinely one of the nicest teachers at this school and she’s always been kind and supportive. She’s also super funny with a quirky humor.” She really does know how to brighten up someone’s day.

A lot of people take advantage of Kendrick as a teacher but it’s more suitable to be kind back to the people who are nice to you. Kendrick is truly empathetic to her students. A teacher who truly takes care of her students.
