Thor Borjesson, a teacher at Prairie Highschool with a very unique personality, has been a teacher at Prairie for 20 years, surprising and impacting students in the best way.
Thor Borjesson has been teaching a total of 23 years. Borj says that what led him to teaching was that he learned to do it in the military in a really odd format. Borjesson acquired his bachelors at University of Alaska Fairbanks, his masters in teaching down in the Vancouver and Portland area and a lot of military education. Borjesson loves teaching. “ There are days where you question yourself but every day is a different gig, it’s a cool job.”
Junior student Dallas Bartley had Thor Borjesson for a year attending his world studies and contemporary world history classes. Dallas Bartley loves Borjesson’s class and the environment he provides “ As if he doesn’t make it obvious enough, coming from a significant military background experience, he has endless stories that never fail to make the class laugh.” Dallas claims that his number one favorite thing about Borjesson is his experience and honesty in life.
Thor Borjesson thinks our community as a whole at Prairie Highschool is okay though he does think “We need to fix the wandering the halls thing”. Borjesson’s favorite part of teaching is harassing the students and probably causing great mental anguish. Borj’s off the wall jokes, and unique experiences are what make him another great teacher here at Prairie Highschool.
