Hannah Spencer

Hannah Spencer, Staff Writer

Hannah Spencer may just seem like a typical PHS Junior but there's more to Hannah that separates her from the rest. Hannah was born and raised in the Vancouver and Portland area but her roots come from Cambodia.

Hannah's knowledge about her culture is very little, which is why an owl purse her mom brought back from Cambodia holds a great amount of meaning and value to her “The purse is meaningful since it's the only thing I know from my culture.”

Being born in September holds significance to Hannah because her favorite season is fall “It's my birthday month.” Although Hannah is not a fan of all the rain we get during fall she does enjoy the environmental change of the season. “ I enjoy crunching on leaves as I'm watching the trees turn orange.” Hannah tends to be a bit of a homebody which would also explain why Hannah finds comfort in Autumn since it's the season of cozying up indoors.

Hannah describes her free time as “wasteful, I could be doing so much more” That being said she loves to sleep, play video games, and bake/cook. If you need someone to make you food or a sweet treat call up Hannah since she expresses her passion for cooking, describing it as a strength.

When it comes to academics Hannah describes herself as “not an academic weapon,” and also says “I'm a very bad procrastinator.” To follow that Hannahs's biggest accomplishment is receiving an A on an essay she wrote one night, “I only get motivation the day before something needs to be done.” At PHS Hannah enjoyed her Geometry class due to how easy it felt and because of the teacher Mrs. Smith, “She's so sweet”

Hannah holds pride in being a loyal and honest person as well as being independent, her biggest motivation is to “make good money and to be able to provide for herself.”

After Highschool Hannah plans to attend a 4-year state university to major in psychology.
