My name is Emily Yorke and I'm a senior at Prairie High School. I went to Pleasant Valley Middle school and have loved science classes ever since. This year I am taking Anatomy and Physiology and really enjoy furthering my knowledge in all things science related. One of my favorite classes that I'm currently taking is Medical Terminology, this class is very interesting. It also is setting me up to be successful in my future career plans.
After graduation I plan to attend the University of Arizona and obtain my bachelor’s degree in nursing. Post getting my bachelor’s degree I want to work in the hospital setting as a pediatric nurse. Once receiving a year of experience I hope to sign a travel contract and travel while working in different hospital environments. I am also considering getting my master’s degree while working as an RN. If I choose to get my masters I want to move into a Nurse Practitioner role while still working with pediatrics.
