Prairies Drama Club is presenting Mean Girls here at Prairie on February 23rd, 24th, March 1st, and 2nd.
The play Mean Girls is a popular choice for school productions due to its relatable themes and engaging storyline. The play follows the story of Cady Heron, a new student who befriends the popular girls at her school. As she gets closer to them, she realizes the true nature of their friendships and struggles to navigate the social hierarchy of high school. The play features catchy songs, sharp humor, and a message about the importance of kindness and being true to yourself, making it an ideal choice for school audiences. Prairie´s Drama Club is excited to share their take on this.
As for behind-the-scenes students have been working on scenes and songs since December but learning choreography started in the summer. Choreography has been one of the most ¨challenging¨ things to face while preparing for the play. These students have put a great amount of time, effort, and commitment into this musical as one of the cast members Renee has said “It’s quite exhausting but in the end, it’s so worth it.”
While having fun and good laughs we also can learn great lessons of being a teenager from the iconic story of Mean Girls. So come support the crew and all the hard work they have put into this play you won’t want to miss it.
