Emma Chang, a senior at PHS, is the person working quietly behind the scenes to keep The Falcon Flyer and the journalism social media running smoothly. For the past three years, Emma has been part of the school’s journalism program, helping report news, edit articles, and manage the flow of information to students and staff.
This year, Emma took on the responsibility of managing not only The Falcon Flyer but also the program’s social media presence alongside her partner Claudia. Her steady updates help keep the school community informed about upcoming events, school news, and student life.
Emma is planning to attend college next year, where she hopes to study to become a pediatric psychiatrist. She says her experience in journalism has taught her the importance of communication a skill she plans to use in her future career helping children and families.
As her time at PHS comes to a close, Emma continues her work quietly helping tell the stories that matter to the school community.
