Netflix “Recently added” the 2007 The Bucket List film starring Morgan Freeman as Carter Chambers and Jack Nicholson as Edward Cole is one of the “most liked” on the app right now. The Bucket List has a rating of 7.3/10 from IMDB and 40% rotten tomatoes. While the movie does have mixed reviews, a few claiming the movie was good and a few others claiming it wasn’t the movie did receive multiple awards the best one being the “Grownups award” for being the best movie for grownups.
Patricia Mendoza, a local resident who watched the film, claims the movie is great. “ I honestly think the movie was not bad, I mean it’s sentimental and funny at the same time” The Bucket List is a film directed by Rob Reineer, the movie portrays 2 men in a cancer ward who start out as strangers eventually becoming best buddies while finishing a bucket list after both men, Carter and Cole receive news of only having months to live.
When asked about the themes or morals the movie portrayed, Patricia Mendoza thinks the movie influences audiences to live in the moment. “ I think the film is a reminder that life is short and to live it now and not later, the moral to me is to not wait until the very end to start fully living the life we are granted now.” The Bucket List is one of Netflix’s most liked movies. The movie overall is worth a watch for all audiences.
