This year’s yearbook takes collaborative effort and teamwork skills, with each role contributed to capturing moments throughout the school year.
Senior Ava Kluey handles marketing and social media for the whole yearbook. Kluey creates posts, advertisements, and ways to promote yearbook sales. Most importantly notifies seniors to add their input into the yearbook such as senior baby photos and senior photos for their last year.
The yearbook team brainstorms themes and designs for the book. “The team decides on theme and overall design by having everyone in class create what they think the yearbook should look like and go based on their ideas for theme and design of yearbook or editors mainly focus on what everyone wants so everyone has a piece of what they want as part of the yearbook” Kleuy says.
As the book comes together Kleuy concludes that she enjoys” Watching the book come to life and the cover”
Neisha Klinger, a senior at Prairie High school is a photographer that takes lots of pictures in a short amount of time. Klinger enjoys the yearbook because of knowing that she helped one way or another. She says “whether it’s setting a camera up or uploading photos to put into edesign where we made the yearbook.”
The process takes time, but when a deadline occurs. Klinger states” The biggest challenge I have faced during the yearbook creation is definitely finals in class and the deadline of the yearbook being around the corner. “
