The community came together for the Trunk or Treat event on October 29th 2025 at Prairie high school to show off trunks and donate! The high school was working with a non-profit organization to donate everything to kids in hospitals. It was a spectacular event with the clubs having a little competition among themselves. 

Trunk or Treat is an event with a goal for people in the district to connect and they did just that. Talking to Mr. Root he said,” Really great event where we get to organize our school and organize teenagers to give back to our community and I think the world needs more of that right now.” He thinks the community really came together that day. Not only him but Shadae Jacques agrees by saying, “A great get together where me and my friends go to be creative and give back.” The Trunk or Treat was a great success this year in people coming as one community.

Trunk or Treat was an opportunity for everyone to be creative as well. So many people came to show their love for the outstanding trunks this year. The points for the trunk competition were based on who got the most points. The points for the objects were: slippers for 5 points, crayons and coloring books for 3, and bubbles for 2. The winner of the 2025 Trunk or Treat was the Drama club! They had a princess inspired trunk that looked straight out of a movie. They won with a big total of 155 points with 40 items donated. The community really came out of its way to come and donate!

This is why events like this happen so the family and friends of Prairie high schoolers and staff can unite and bond together. This event also really also truly gave back into the world with all the donations. If you like events like these you can participate and attend the Winter Carnival which is similar to Trunk or Treat.
