Everyone has their version of a perfect meal but for this student at PHS it is “spaghetti and a Dr Pepper with ice cream after.”

Introducing Ashlynn Hanssen. Ashlynn, a junior, has attended PHS since Freshman year. She describes herself as an extrovert rather than an introvert, very social, and often knows how to carry a conversation and lighten the mood. “ I would say 3 other words to describe me are charismatic, life of the party, and another word, silly,” Ashlynn said. Being the life of the party isn’t easy, but for her, it comes naturally.

Ashlynn cherishes her family and friends, she loves seeing them grow and succeed in their own way.

Despite being described as a little silly, she has a way with words and knows how to use them to reflect on what’s currently happening in her life. Most reflect on the kind of year they had, for Ashlynn, she had one specific takeaway. She said, “One lesson I’ve learned this year is that sometimes when you want to live a better life you have to find the problem and remove it, whether that means a person, something you’re doing, or just an environment you’re in.”

Not many think about their favorite grocery aisle but for her she loves the technology aisle, specifically in Target. This would be the place she’d survive in because she’d get to watch her shows, she’s just a teenage girl.

Ashlynn loves her spaghetti, and being true to herself, but also loves and cares for the people she surrounds herself with and continues to learn and grow.
