Over 1,000 students are selected each year between two sessions to be a part of these competitive programs.

Each student has to go through an application process which consists of an essay, attendance checks, teacher referrals, and good grades.

Sophomore Koltin Vandeusen applied to be a part of the Diesel Technology program. “There were many different classes at Cascadia like automotive, diesel tech, construction, cosmetology, dental, and many more. I picked diesel tech because I enjoy working on engines and knew it would help me with a future career.” A month after applying Koltin heard that he was accepted into Diesel Technology!

Senior Cambelle Snider joined Dental I, she did not let being a senior discourage her from joining. With open arms, Cascadia welcomed Cambelle to the program despite this being her last year. When asked what Cambelle thinks of Cascadia she loves the direct involvement and study, “I enjoy going to Cascadia. I love how it’s not just reading and writing it’s actually hands-on.”
