T4 conference over spring break quarter is here! This is the time to boost your grades and attend this session to gain success strategies to end a good school year.
Teachers, Mrs. Bump and Homola are getting prepared for the upcoming spring conference that is next week March 18-19 which is our early release day. Both teachers hope to see as many students attend with their parents to meet in person to talk about their student’s overall work and behavior in class.
Bump teaches social studies and has been teaching here at Prairie High School for 9 years. Bump always attends conferences and says there are not as many people that go”Most likely because I teach seniors, and oftentimes the parents that need to come to conferences tend not to come to conferences”.
Bump hopes to gain from these conferences is to “Connect with parents, put a name to a face and make sure that at least they are aware of where the child is, graduation wise, because my classes are graduation requirements”.
Homola teaches geometry and AP statistics and hopes that families come to conferences because it is typical that very many attendees don’t come to spring conferences.”We could go the whole afternoon with like three, We just don’t see very many”.
Homola looks forward to, “Meet as many students and parents that are willing to come.”
