Taylin Mandaguit

Taylin Mandaguit, Staff Writer

My name is Taylin Mandaguit and I am a senior at PHS this year.  I have been a student in the Battle-Ground school district for about 4 years now, and prior to that, I lived in Hawai’i where I was born and raised.  I stay involved at school, through student leadership, managing sports, and taking part in school announcements, and it’s helped me to really find my place at Prairie.  This school has become very important to me, and it’s been a big goal of mine to help it to grow and get even better every day I am here.

Looking toward my future, I plan on going into culinary school with a focus on baking after I graduate high school.  Baking has always been a passion of mine, and when I started thinking about what I wanted my life to look like In 20 years, I saw myself running my own bakery.  I’m a big believer in “when you do what you love, you’ll never work a day in your life”, and so I decided on a career that I could see myself walking into every day with a smile on my face.  I can’t wait to see what my future will look like, and no matter what I will strive to stay positive with each step I take.
