He describes himself as “stunning, tall, curious, unathletic.” Can you guess who? If you guessed Owen McKannay you were right!
Owen has a passion for reading books. He prefers to read “Western novels” or ones that are translated. From freshman year to now he’s read around 60 books! His favorite book is Cinder by Marissa Meyer.
Although Owen doesn’t play sports anymore he used to find himself playing soccer or basketball. He played soccer for two years and basketball for three. These days he's been focusing on school to get the best grades he can.
The most important person in his life is his dog Nori, an Australian Shepherd and Border Collie mix. “I’ve gotta say my dog, they are people!”
Owen has one older sister who is 19 and lives in Portland, they try to see each other from time to time. Of course, he is inspired most by himself, he has grown up doing things independently.
With motivation “Just do your best” he wants to pursue education in social science or psychology, eventually moving somewhere sunny.
