“Scars remind us where we’ve been, they don’t have to dictate where we’re going.” This is what senior Maya Tesar’s favorite quote is. The show Criminal Minds, so if you’ve seen the show you probably have heard it before from the character David Rossi.
Maya Tesar partakes in sports in and out of school. She's on track and volleyball, though volleyball is her main sport of choice. Maya says “Volleyball has always been a huge part of my life, with most of my family playing volleyball, so I’ve always felt that volleyball is my sport to play.” Not only does she play sports but she also plans flower arrangements and loves to draw with the free time she has.
When asked if Maya could talk to anyone dead or alive she said “I would love to talk to my Grandma, she had passed away before I was born, but I would also love to talk to Hayden Christensen”. If you also like the Star Wars prequels then you probably would like to talk to Hayden Christensen. Maya has many more interesting things about her that most people might not know her for. One little fun fact about her is not only is she Italian, but Maya loves to cook Italian food with her family. If you like some good Italian food you can bet Maya would know her way around a good Italian dish.
Maya was asked what she would like more people to know about her she said “I would like more people to know i’m not as mean as some people may think”. If you met Maya before you would know that she is a friendly person to be around, and isn’t mean to the people she is around. Something people may not know about Maya is that she is actually very sensitive and emotional when it comes to how others feel. This is one reason why Maya says she would use the wayward to describe herself.
Overall Maya is very excited going into this school year, not only for graduation but for the future of her life moving forward. Maya was asked what her future goals are after high school, and what careers she plans on going into, and Maya said that she would like to go into real estate, but really would love to go into the field of astronomy more than real estate. Maya’s plans for her future seem very clear, and she is very excited to be done with school and to move on to the future of her life.
