Szzz… What is that? Oh no worries, it's just Madelyn Lewis using Hawaii’s hot sunny beaches to get the perfect tan. “I would wanna go to Hawaii and just lay and tan all day, and burn my skin.” Senior Madelyn Lewis says is her dream vacation.
Other than wanting to tan all day on the beach, she’s Prairie High School gymnastics captain. When talking about gymnastics with Madelyn Lewis you may notice the shift in her energy, this is a sport she played her whole life. Her sophomore season was her favorite because of. “How close the team was that year, and we won districts and got to go to state so that was pretty fun.”
She’s so passionate, she also teaches gymnastics as a coach. She works at NayDenov Gymnastics. Being a coach and captain around the same time shows how dedicated she is to her sport.
Madelyn sees herself following in her sister's footsteps. She watched her sister in the NICU (neonatal nurse) and it always inspired her to want to work with babies, which she loves. She has her whole education path to a NICU nurse set, “I plan on going to college and going through the nursing program, and yeah.”
