“…I don’t believe in the fact that going back, changing something will change your outcome, because it might make it worse…I’d rather not make it worse.” Dasha, a senior here at Prairie High School said that she believes what’s happened has happened and is set in stone. Spoken out of wisdom, as you can’t change the past, we have to live with our mistakes.
As a senior there’s basically only one thing to look forward to, “Graduating… but also not, just cause I have no idea what to do with college.” Something that’s relatable to many, not knowing what to do with college.
Now what to do with the time you have until graduation, that’s the real question. You might sleep, watch movies, hang out with family and friends, or just focus on school itself. The options are there, but what to do in 5 years?
“Hopefully I will improve my photography, enough to start a business. Right now I’m trying to make a website for myself, but it’s a bit harder than people make it out to be.” Dasha may not have life planned after graduation, but she has a goal for 5 years in the future.
Dasha doesn’t like holding onto the past, like what’s happened in her childhood, having a single mom with 3 brothers. But she does like planning out her future, knowing she wants to do photography. She loves to have joy in her past and to be optimistic about her future.
