The boys basketball team crushed Battleground with a score of 104 – 52 and all four quarters Prairie led with winning numbers. The first win of the season had the players feeling great and motivated. Andre Mbomba who played his first varsity game said “we’re starting off with a bang and we’re gonna keep this momentum.”  

These boys have been working extremely hard to prepare for this season, starting forward Ben Nkansah said “we practiced hard, ran miles, and played as a team” and it all showed on the court. This game has the team and fans ready to see how the season takes off and how they play against further competition. Starting center Carson Morningstar said “We definitely will be facing tougher competition and we just have to lock in”. 

The entire team contributed in this game but some shoutouts go to Payton Poppe for scoring some great points and Carson Morningstar for his dunks! Stay tuned to see how these players grow this season!
