As Prairie heads into the 2025 winter break this week many are sharing how they celebrate Christmas and explain why it matters. As we get perspectives from Seniors Deven Vigue and Tevita Ngauamo.
They were asked a magnitude of questions resembling what traditions they have and how they like to celebrate their holiday seasons. They were asked “What traditions do you have for Christmas?” “My tradition is going to my Aunts house and meeting with all my family while watching the basketball games that are on that day” Vigue tells “My family and I like to gather and watch the Polar Express.” Ngauamo says, obviously spending time with family is huge for these two and means something.
Everyone has their different views on the holiday season and what it means, these two were asked to interpret Christmas and what they have to look forward to this holiday season. “I interpret Christmas as a day to celebrate family and your loved ones while spreading joy and giving, I am hoping to spend one last Christmas with all of my family before I leave to college” Vigue answers Ngauamo answers with “Remembering the birth of Jesus Christ is how I think about it and I am looking forward to family time and getting gifts.
Overall these two have a lot to look forward to and memories to make over their winter break along with many more students that reside at Prairie Highschool.
