The Prairie Falcons are looking for revenge after last year’s loss to Auburn Riverside 8-6 to end their season, the Falcons are looking to bounce back and make a run. They ended the season with a record of 14-11 Overall And 10-3 in the district winning 3A. This year the Falcons are trying to prove some people wrong despite the haters.

“Prairie is different because of our values and culture were building. We focus on everyone being at the same standard of excellence.” Prairie’s Head Coach talks about how his team is better than others around. ¨I believe in our team as much as they do. The winning state isn’t always the most talented team, but the team that plays the best and each person accepts their role on the team.” Describes Tanner Bogart talking about how his team is special and different from the other schools around.

Prairie has a talented group for coaching, Senior 1B (first baseman)/LHP(left-handed pitcher) Nate Merritt was asked on the coaching staff “I’ve liked how they bring a different perspective on the game whether it’s offensive, defensive, pitching.” Merritt comments on his perspective of this team making a run” I really think for Prairie to make a push for state we need to trust our teammates and trust the skills we have.”

Tanner Bogart has a great way of coaching he brings to this program It’s based on encouragement and accountability. ¨I want players to discover the answer rather than me give them the answer” Bogart became a coach because “I felt that it’s important to give back since baseball is giving me so much back.”

Bogart brought in a group of coaches with him to Prairie that he really enjoys. “They complement each other, they all each have unique strengths that they bring to the program.” Bogart gives just as much credit to the players saying “ I enjoy that our players are ready to work each day and have a winning and positive attitude when they show up to practices and games.”
