On October 4th, 2025, Prairie had their annual homecoming assembly. With many events leading up to it like lunch games and spirit week, the Falcons are slowly showing more school spirit from these past years.
COVID-19 was a hard time for many students, depleting the school spirit. Students returning from quarantine stopped showing school spirit and participating in spirit weeks. However, many people participated in the themes for this year’s homecoming assembly.
“The senior class this year is very involved and very positive and it sprinkles down to the other years.” Said Biology teacher and ASB leader Danaka Ross.
Lunch games were also introduced after a long time and were highly successful. These games involved musical chairs and popping balloons. The Asb committee used lunch games to increase the hype for the upcoming assembly and for students to gain confidence in participating.
Assembly planning begins particularly a month before the actual assembly. With such a big responsibility whoever planned it must have felt very accomplished with how successful it was. “My favorite part was seeing the assembly come together as I had planned it.” Said Senior President Adrianna Chavez.
The actual assembly was a hit! With school spirit peeking we’re looking forward to a more engaged school environment.
