The varsity/junior season for boy’s soccer started on March 3, 2025. Every season there are about 18 games, and so far six games have been played. For varsity, they’ve won two out of the six games. For the juniors, they’ve won three of the six games. Prairie has faced high schools like Skyview, Battle Ground, Shelton, Union, Camas, and W.F. West. Later on, they will be facing high schools like Evergreen, Heritage, and Mountain View.
“Me and the rest of the juniors feel relatively confident about this season. We may have three losses, but we have three wins. That means we have plenty of room to lock in and dominate. We face Aberdeen today and we feel good about it,” says junior player Anton Satyrenko. The junior team seems to be in good spirits. Every practice and every game they try their best to bring the best out of themselves.
The varsity team is also relatively confident. “We’ve won two of our six games so far so we’re not off to a bad start. The season just began so we have room to dial in more. Union was a really hard school and after that loss, we took a step back to think of what we could learn from them. We’ve started training even harder and thinking more before our plays in practice and in games now,” says varsity player Hector Yanez Munoz.
So far, the varsity team hasn’t had a perfect start however not at all a bad start. They seem locked in and ready to go for the upcoming games. The junior team is in the same boat, as the team is always trying to find out what to work on and implement it in their playstyle and plan. Prairie feels they will have a good season.
