Prairie’s spring sports season begins on March 3rd. Get prepared falcons, and don’t forget your physicals!
Many sports begin during the spring season including, Boys Baseball, Girls Golf, Boys Soccer, Unified Soccer, Girls Softball, Girls Tennis, And Track. This season is filled with sunny days and amazing weather, something to be excited about! Payton Miller, a junior involved with girls’ softball says, “I am so excited for this year’s upcoming season! I feel very prepared and confident for our season.” Along with Miller, Noah Ojeda, A freshman playing boys soccer answered, “It’s My freshman year so I’m nervous, but also I’ve been preparing for this and I think I’m ready.” The nerves are always something that comes up during your first year or the beginning of the season, but sooner or later you’ll realize it’s just about having fun.
Spring sports especially make it hard to keep track of school work, with many of us taking finals and the year ending soon. Miller tells us a bit of what she does to stay on track, “I think that the best way to balance school and sports is to make sure to use the resources like Falcon support to get help if needed or just finish homework. I also make sure to do work right when I get home after practice to make sure I stay on top of my assignments! Spring season brings a unique aspect to keeping balance though because we are at the end of the year when it gets harder to focus on school work. That’s when accountability is needed for yourself!.” Taking advantage of Falcon support is a smart choice that can help you keep track of school.
As the years go by, many freshmen come in and out and try out for many sports that they are possibly new to playing. Ojeda’s advice to those people is, “Become friends with the right people that will help you and just be the best you can be. If it doesn’t go your way, keep trying next year!” This is amazing advice that shows you not to give up on yourself.
Will we see you there falcons?
