Prairie High School has about 70 wrestlers on the boy’s team. The season is almost over, and districts are right around the corner. The team feels rather confident and sure that they can make state, as this year around the team seems unstoppable. Let’s see how the team is feeling.
“Our team feels very good about ourselves, we think that a good amount of players will make it to state this year,” says junior player Oscar Yanez Munoz. The team has been working very hard to ensure that they are on top of their game. Hector Yanez Munoz, another player, makes a point that Mountain View High School, Kelso High School, Heritage High School, and others are below the Prairie Team, and they only have to deal with Evergreen High School now. The season ends in mid-February, so there isn’t much time left. This is great for Prairie, as it shows they have taken care of most of the obstacles.
“We have some of the best players we’ve had in years and a stacked roster, I’d be surprised if our team didn’t make it to state,” says senior player Bobby Bauer. He also states that the coaches aren’t playing around, as Rob Smith the head coach, and the other side coaches are making them work to ensure greatness. The team has been performing very well so far, so it would be unexpected if they were to slow down. That is probably not the case, however, as these players feel electrified.
To conclude, Prairie High School is wrestling at its best. Prairie’s boys are wrestling at their primes right now, and they just don’t know when to quit. The players that were interviewed only had good things to say about this season. Stay tuned to see how they will finish off.
