As the new upcoming season for Prairie Girls Basketball starts, they are feeling confident and excited to step back onto the court. In hopes of beating their biggest competition Evergreen High School and Mountain View High School by playing to their strengths.
As the new 2024-2025 season starts the team has high expectations for the season, hopefully leading to a fun environment filled with many future wins. This year Evergreen High school and Mountain View High school are seen as their teams biggest competition. The girls are expecting to have a competitively good season achieved by working hard every time they step onto the court. When asked about it was said that the girls are excited to “win a lot of hard competitive games,” senior Payton Blunt states. This year they hope to make it far.
While the season has not officially started the girls have been practicing, putting in hard work to achieve their goals of winning. When asked about the team strengths it is noticed that one of their biggest advantages is “maybe the team chemistry we have, all the returning players have played with each other for a while,” Sophomore Harmony Fallin states. The team is also very powerful from a defensive standpoint stating they are “defensively quick on our feet,” Senior Payton Blunt claims. With a strong mindset, hard work and dedication both on and off the court the girls believe to have a powerful season filled with competitive practices to better their athletic performances in game situations.
While utilizing these strong points the team believes they will have a successful upcoming season hopefully resulting in league wins especially against Evergreen and Mountain View.
