As the boy’s basketball team approaches the winter season the players have great expectations for their upcoming performances. Players such as Carson Morningstar and Denton Dearborn had very good things to say about themselves and the team.
The Basketball team has faced many challenges in the off-season but expects to rise above the rest and beat teams, Battleground, Mountain View, and Union. All of these teams listed will be big matchups for the Falcons and should be watched in the future.
Denton Dearborn A returning senior has pretty good expectations for the Falcons some of which being winning league and then hopefully making it to the Tacoma Dome. Denton has Played basketball since some of the earlier years of his life playing with some teams, the upper Left Legions and The Cagers. Dearborn believes the team has grown so much from last year as he said “We have been a one-man team in years past[…] Team chemistry has grown quite a bit, this year we will look like a whole new team.”.
Carson Morningstar the junior center for the Falcons hopes to see great things for his team as well. Morningstar when asked what his expectations for the season said “We’re going win league, we have decent players and all the right pieces.” Carson also exclaimed his hopes to beat Union “We haven’t beaten Union in a long time, It’s overdue’’. Carson has been playing Basketball since the 1st grade for club teams such as The Sixers and The Flames.
When it comes to season outlooks both Carson and Denton are on the same page they both want to beat Battleground just as badly. They also have the same desire to beat Mountain View to secure their league title. The boy’s basketball Season started on Nov. 18, 2024, with tryouts where both players made the team.
