It’s week seven of the high school football season and on Friday, October 18, the Prairie Falcons are set to take on the Evergreen Plainsmen, at home in District Stadium. This week’s matchup will be the hardest the team has faced yet, however, most excitedly the game has been chosen to be covered by Fox 12 Oregon in their Friday Night Lights segment.
Nick Krupke, the Fox 12 news Friday Nights Lights anchor, hosts the segment, showcasing big games in the greater Portland and Vancouver areas. He most commonly showcases the big plays of the games and identifies key players of the game, he then closes each game by speaking with a reporter who was at the game.
Not only is this game going to be big because it is going to be on TV but also because Evergreen is currently number one in the GSHL league while Prairie is third. If Prairie can win, they will be in place for a three-way tie between Prairie, Evergreen, and Kelso for the two spots to go to playoffs.
Expect the game to be loud, be exciting, and most importantly a Falcons win, so make sure to show up and show out in all your Prairie gear for the game.
