The United States Marine Corps (USMC) is a great opportunity to make a change for yourself and The United States itself. In Prairie High School, there are a few or many students who plan on enlisting in The United States Marine Corp. Joining The United States Marine Corps has to be one of the bravest actions you could take. It takes a lot of honor, courage, and bravery to join The United States Marine Corps.
In this article, we have two special guests. We have Daniel Shane Infante and Alex Pham, both enlisted to join the United States Marine Corps. It took a lot of honor, courage, and bravery from Daniel and Alex to enlist in the United States Marine Corps. We first ask Daniel and Alex what motivated them to enlist in The United States Marine Corps. “I decided to enlist in the United States Marine Corps because it was something I’m interested in, and my sister is also in the Marines”. Daniel said. The Marines take a lot of leadership skills and take a lot of passion. Daniel said, “I also have the leadership skills for the Marines, and I am very passionate about it”. In general, The Marines is just a great opportunity. Alex said, “I decided to enlist in the Marines because I know that it would be a good opportunity for me”.
As a minor enlisting in the United States Marine Corps, you need to prepare yourself for boot camp, like participating in the Marine PT training program. We ask Daniel and Alex how they are doing in PT training. “I’m doing alright in PT training, it’s a struggle, but I have my friends and fellow recruits to motivate and push me to my limits”. Said Alex. Daniel said, “I believe that I am doing pretty good in PT training, it’s definitely challenging mentally and physically, but I just keep on pushing myself”. Basic training boot camp is going to be the most difficult part of becoming a United States Marine. Daniel said, “I am confident that I will pass boot camp with no problem, I’m not saying that it’s going to be easy, but I know that I have what it takes to successfully pass boot camp”. On the other hand, Alex said, “Boot camp is going to be very challenging, mentally and physically, but I believe that I’ll make it through boot camp”.
As a United States Marine, you aren’t just fighting the whole time. In The Marines, there are many professions you can choose. The most common profession in The Marines is infantry, but there are also so many other options to pick from. “I plan on going into the field of aviation, mainly because it’s safer than infantry and aviation is the field that my sister is in”. Some professions also require you to have a driver’s license. Alex said, “I am not sure of what I want to do just yet, but automotive and aviation sound very interesting to me”. Since Alex and Daniel aren’t working jobs right now, they both plan on enlisting in the United States Marine Corps as active duty Marines. Overall, enlisting in The Marines is a great way to start and boost your career.
