To start the new year, Starbucks Coffee came out with new menu items and your fellow Prairie High School students test them to see what is, or is not worth it.
The new items that came out on January 3rd include the Cortado, Brown Sugar Oatmilk Cortado, Single Origin Ethiopia Whole Bean Coffee, Spicy Falafel Pocket (vegan), and a Valentine’s Cake Pop. Also new this year, customers will now be able to customize the level of sweetness in matcha beverages.
Some returning seasonal favorites to the menu are the Pistachio Latte, Pistachio Cream Cold Brew, and the Vanilla Bean Custard Danish.
Sophomores, Ellie Moore and Ajla Tanjo share their opinions on the new drinks and desserts that they have tried in a recent visit to the local Starbucks together.
“After trying the new thing (Brown Sugar Oatmilk Cortado), I’ll probably just go back to my go-to order: an iced chai with three pumps of vanilla and sugar cookie cold foam,” Moore says.
“I tried the Pistachio Latte and I’ll definitely stick with it. I also had the Valentine’s Cake Pop. It was not only cute but delicious,” Tanjo said.
There’s no set date when these items will be leaving the menu, so go try them while you still can!
