With winter break approaching, December 20th through January 6th, Prairie High School Students share their plans for break, in and out of town this year.
One student shares her snowy plans. “Enjoy some winter fun and activities at Mount Hood,” Junior, Payton Miller.
Mount Hood, Oregon, an active stratovolcano in the Cascade Range, has many fun events for the whole family, such as live music, cosmic tubing, breakfast with Santa, a New Year’s Eve fireworks show, and passes to ski or snowboard for all skill levels.
Another student is keeping up with her family’s Christmas Eve tradition. “Every Christmas Eve, we eat KFC,” Senior, Avery Hoskins. She and her family wait all year long to have this dish, which makes the day more special to them.
Another Prairie senior, Marissa Raley, has a planned trip, which is her family’s first time traveling as one. “I’m going to San Diego with my family, we’re gone for five days, just to experience new things,” Raley said.
With the holidays right around the corner, our three falcons share some advice for others. ‘Stay safe.’ ‘Make good decisions.’ ‘Tell the people around you that you love them.’ and ‘Have fun.’
Merry Christmas and Happy holidays!
“Enjoy the break, because a break is a break for a reason.” Hoskins.
