The ASB team has many fun events to plan for Prairie High School in the future. All of these events will be fun and they will ensure that every student looks forward to what they have planned. Anyone is welcome to these fantastic and exciting events.
Before they begin setting up their events, ASB comes together to plan and suggest what type of events should be planned for the school year. “Everyone comes together and we usually plan months in advance,” Advisor, Danaka Ross says, “Depending on the certain events, we might plan a year in advance as well.” After settling on their suggestions, ASB gets to work by making outlines and forming committees and groups, sometimes they sign a Lead and a Co-lead for the group so communication goes well, they will even use online services to communicate. Events they usually plan are Dances, Spirit Weeks, Sports, fun assemblies since ROTC takes care of veterans assemblies, community events which they plan to host more later on in the future, and small events like falcon lunch games.
During their setup process, they usually can buy props, mainly decorations, games, and materials they need to create certain decorations, as long as their event has been approved by the Advisor and the District, they can use whatever and buy whatever they want on a budget. They plan these events for the school because all of them wish to gain more Leadership skills and have the passion to become a leader. “We all have the same passion and dedication on being a leader,” Communications Director, Julie Luangphasy says, “We all wish to learn and grow on our leadership skills being in ASB.”
Each member of ASB has a passion and dedication to becoming a leader and wishes to guide others with their ideas and suggestions for change. They all will make Prarie High School a fun environment to be in with their suggestions and ideas for fun events during this school year.
