The wrestling team had numerous wins at districts this past weekend on Saturday, February 2 at Hudson Bay high school.

The Falcons had seven team members that were in the finals of the 3A sub-regional tournament. Junior, Noah Larsen, won the 3A 113-pound subregional championship. Since he got second last year, it meant everything to him to win first this year. “It felt great since last year I got second so this year I was able to finish the job and win it all.” Larsen also gave credit to his team for how well they did collectively as a team. “The team wrestled good and we had nine people in the finals.”

Nic Langer also took first for his weight class, after he beat a second ranked competitor. “He was ranked second in state so it was a huge win for me I felt really good because I know my training is paying off.” Despite his victory, Langer is preparing even more for his upcoming matches. “I’m preparing by going to the gum in the mornings and after practice going to club practice and eating right and getting good sleep.”

The wrestling team is getting ready for their next meets in hope of making it to the state tournament.
