The Prairie wrestling team had a meet on Wednesday, Dec.12 against the Evergreen Plainsmen and Hudson Bay Eagles. Prairie hosted the meet, and with their falcon talons ready, grasped a 2-0 victory for their first league matches.

Senior and captain, Justace Walmer, was able to add to the winning matches with a forfeit and a quick takedown in the first round. He hopes to keep up with his 2-0 record so far by “fine tuning his takedowns” and “focusing more on live matches during practices leading up to his meets”. Justace was proud of many of his teammates throughout the match, such as Noah Larsen and Bridger Paradies who both also went 2-0 at the meet

The Falcons could not be more pleased with their league wins on Wednesday and hope to roll off the momentum of the season for a potential league title. Be sure to support your fellow Falcons and go to their next home meet on Wednesday, Jan 9. against Mountain View.
